(draft logo 1)
(draft logo 2)
1. Discuss what you thought about creating your logo.
I really enjoyed the process of creating my logo and the steps to creating one.
2. Describe the process: creative thinking skills and ideas you used in the logo creation.
Before I even started researching designs I started to brainstorm what I wanted my logo to convey about me. Things like open minded, kind and growth. After coming up with these I went on to researching and ended up using shutterstock photos to give me some inspiration. I started to really like the idea of having a logo that looks like it's in motion to represent a life in progress. I started drawing out my first two ideas, but they couldn't be colored easily and seemed a little too simple. Lastly I came to my final logo after realizing I loved the idea of having three commas pointed to the center. The green color ended up representing growth and nature.
3. What was the most important discovery you made in the creation of your logo?
The most important discovery I made was realizing I didn't need a very detailed logo to make it better.
4. What is the most important information you learned from watching the videos, powerpoint, and reading material for this project? What is your opinion of the videos?
The most important thing I learned from research was that brainstorming beforehand what you want your logo to represent, as well as looking at some examples is very helpful.
